The actor and director Miguel Varoni talked openly about the period in which he reached a state of extreme thinness, generating concern among his followers. In a conversation with his plastic surgeon and friend, Alan González, the artist reported the reasons that led him to lose so much weight and how he managed to overcome that stage.

Varoni said that during the 2020 pandemic his weight increased considerably, reaching 114 kilos, which caused him pains on his knees, back and other physical discomfort. Given this situation, and motivated by his wife, actress Catherine Siachoque, decided to undergo a gastric manga bariatric surgery to improve her health and quality of life.
Although the procedure was initially successful, the actor admitted that weight loss soon became an obsession. “It became a disease to lose weight … I got half crazy,” he confessed, noting that he reached extremes that committed their physical and emotional well -being.
