President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva defined, on Thursday (14), as “lie” a statement by US President Donald Trump that Brazil would be a bad commercial partner. 
“He decided to tell some lies about Brazil. And we are denying it. He said he had damage to trade with Brazil. He only has profit.”
Lula spoke about the theme at an event in Recife, where Delivered land titles In the peripheral neighborhood of Brasilia Stubborn. He exemplified that in 15 years, the United States made a profit in the $ 410 billion trade.
“It’s a lie when the US president says Brazil is a bad commercial partner. I mean, for the poorest people in this country, that we still want to negotiate.”

Earlier, Trump said Brazil “has been a horrible commercial partner in terms of tariffs.” According to Reuters, the president of the United States criticized the tariff list between countries.
“As you know, they charge us tremendous tariffs, much more than we charged them. We were not charging anything, essentially,” said Trump.
In addition to the commercial aspect, Lula, at the event in Recife, also criticized Trump’s position that Brazil would not properly follow the legal rite due to the trial of former President Jair Bolsonaro by the STF.
According to Reuters, Trump pointed out that Bolsonaro would be the victim of “a political execution.” The US president justified, once again, the 50% trade tariffs about Brazilian products due to what he called “political persecution.”
“Now they are being charged in 50% rates, and they are not happy, but that’s how things are,” Trump said.
