Peravia.— The president Luis Abinader The long -awaited inaugurated this Thursday Circunvalación de Baníhighlighting that while many concentrate on politics, their management is focused on working and delivering works to the population.
During the act, the president accompanied by the first lady Raquel Arbagehe called the officials to Duplicate the effort before each criticism, responding efficiently and a positive attitude.

When referring to the Circunvalación de Baní, the ruler said that the new route will reduce in approximately one hour the travel time between Santo Domingo and Barahona, will decongest the urban center and improve cargo transport and passengers.

President Abinader took the opportunity to review the completed projects and in execution in the southpointing out the first traumatological hospital, the first pediatric hospital and the first oncological center in the region; Isa University in San Juan, the extension of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) in Baní; the constituency of Azua, as well as the road improvements on the roads Juan Santiago -Hondo Valle; Rancho up -coa and Hato Mayor.
He also highlighted the modernization of hospitals, the impulse to tourism with the Barahona dock and the development of the Salinas and Punta Arena area, as well as agricultural and employment generation programs in provinces of Pedernales, Azua and Neiba.
He reiterated that the objective of his management is to invest with transparency, prioritize the works of greatest impact and progressively reduce poverty throughout the southern region.
Milestone for the development of the southern region
From his side the minister of Public Works and CommunicationsEduardo Estrella stressed that the newly opened Circunvalación de Baní constitutes a milestone for the development of the southern regionby connecting more efficiently Peravia province with tourist areas such as Salinas and with the city. The road, of 19.8 kilometers of extensionincludes 17 bridgesamong them the largest bridge over the Baní River, has been designed with sight of future extensions.
Estrella explained that the Circunvalación, marked and paved in two layers of five inches, had a total cost of 7.7 billion pesos, the result of two bidding processes that involved different companies.
He stressed that this work adds to other road projects in execution, such as the Barahona -enriquillo -Pederans Bay of the Eagleswhich can now be visited in less than an hour from different locations in the region.

The south advances towards progress
Meanwhile, the senator for the province of Peravia, Julito Fulcarstressed that the date of August 14 will be marked in the province by the opening of the Circunvalación de Bani, which expressed that it opens new trails of opportunities towards progress, the people’s development from Baní.
“This is the most important work of the president of the entire southern region of the Dominican Republic and Baní and the Peravia province as receptors of it, we thank you for being present in its execution agenda,” said Fulcar.
Also, the senator for the province of Barahona, Moisés AyalaHe stressed that, a few days after President Abinader assumed the destinations of the country, he visited the province of Pedernales, marking the beginning of the development of the southern region.
He pointed out that the Head of State announced the construction of some ten hotels, currently in execution, as well as the building of the Port of Cabo Rojowhich is already in operation and has received thousands of tourists, positively impacting the economy of the Enriquillo region.
As a sample of its commitment to the environment, President Abinader sowed a Guayacán treewhile the first lady and the Minister of Public Works and Communications planted a Guatapanal and the director of RD Vial, Hostos Rizik, sowed a Palma Guano de Baní, a characteristic species of the area.
The president was recognized as a distinguished visitor from the Municipal District of Villa Hat, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Avenida de la Circunvalación de Baní.
