"People go to the minimum"; Lias paralyzed Mexican migrants in the US

The objective is to avoid being arrested in ICE raidsas has happened with more than half a thousand Mexican migrants insured in work centers – such as car washed and sowed – and even departmental stores in California.

People have lowered the pace of work, some risking every day they continue to leave, only that they do as much as possible, not the fun, the extra outputs are no longer happening, the extra expenses either. ”

On his return to the White House, Trump announced a mass deportation plan by considering that migrants had “invaded” the United States. Vice President JD Vance estimated the deportation of one million migrants a year.

The Republican then authorized that raids could be made in places that were not previously contemplated, such as churches, schools, works, public spaces, commercial establishments and even hospitals.

With these measures, around 11 million Mexican migrants with irregular immigration status in the United States are exposed to being arrested at any time and place.

Donald Trump’s plan was to deport one million migrants a year.

Carlos Arango, president of the National Immigrant Front in the United States, He explains that in his more than 40 years of based in US lands he had not seen raids such as those recorded for several months mainly in the Los Angeles area.

“We had not seen raids in the United States at that level. There have been raids and arrests, but there were no raids in the streets as strong as it is taking today. I had not seen it. Today there is a criminal treatment,” he says.

Since June 6, when the Customs Immigration and Control Service (ICE) intensified migratory operations and raids, more than 500 Mexican migrants have been arrested. Almost a hundred of them were taken to the Aligator Alcatraz detention center, in Florida, which has intensified concern among the Mexican community.

“They are chained, they do not even take away their chains to go to the bathroom, hands and feet, they are hit. They are more than detention centers, they are concentration centers and then that is the risk, we are facing a state of exception without being officially but we are facing that,” says Arango on the center surrounded by caimanes and snakes.
