One of the victims was a 56 -year -old woman allegedly murdered by her ex -partner on August 5 in the Alex Urquiola cast in the city of Holguin. The activists affirm that this happened “despite several complaints prior to the police”, which they point out for their “inaction.”

Recently, the Attorney General’s Office, the Ministry of Interior, the Supreme Court and other Cuban institutions announced the joint elaboration of a computerized administrative registry, but not public, to collect data on macho murders in the country.
