Santo Domingo. – The former Minister of Energy and Mines, Antonio ‘Tony’ Isa Conde, who was in the city of Miami receiving medical care, died on Tuesday at 85.
The family reported in a statement that funeral honors will not be made, as was their will.
Isa Conde is survived by his brother Narciso, as well as his children Antonio Emilio, Aris Alfredo and Marcia Patricia, procreated with Marcia Nadal, already deceased. In addition, he had six grandchildren and three biznietos.
In addition to Minister, he was director of the missing Dominican Corporation of State Companies (CORDE), as well as revolutionary combatant and business leader.
He was a doctorate in Law from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) and made a postgraduate degree in administration and banking at the University of Rome, Italy. He also completed studies in industrial policy and business consulting.
Throughout his career, he has held important positions both in the public and private sector.
In the private sphere, he was president of the Association of Industrial Companies of Herrera and Province Santo Domingo (AEIH), Vice President of Dominican Chemical Fertilizers, and General Manager of Delta Comercial, SA.
In the public sector, its most prominent role was like Minister of Energy and Minesposition that occupied from 2015 to 2020. It is also known for being one of the founders of the Civic Citizen Participation.
