Enaex Brasil reported on Tuesday night that nine employees died during an explosion in one of its manufacturing facilities in the city of Quatro Barras, in the metropolitan region of Curitiba (PA). According to the company, Seven other workers had minor injuries, received medical attention and released.
“We express our most sincere condolences to their families, friends and co -workers,” says the company’s statement, adding that he is collaborating with the investigations.
THE explosion occurred around 6am and is under police investigation. Earlier, the Fire Department reported that the accident occurred in a specific building and there is no risk of new explosions.
Early in the evening, Fire commander Colonel Geraldo Hiller said the work will be suspended for lack of safety conditions at night and dawn. He explained that a nearby building from the company was partially destroyed, just as there are marks of the explosion, such as splinters and windows, stuffing and doors damaged in buildings along the company’s complex.
The scientific police will investigate the causes of the explosion and identify the bodies, some fragmented by the force of the explosion.
