“Today in Mexico the first person with #COVID19 died. His symptoms began on March 9 and he suffered from diabetes. The Secretary of Health expresses his condolences to his relatives,” the federal agency said through Twitter.
In this fourth wave of the pandemic due to the SARS-COv-2 virus, there is a record of 25,964 people who reported signs and symptoms in the last 14 days, which represents 0.4% of the total registered since the start of the pandemic. Likewise, 4 million 853,879 people have recovered from the disease.
According to the data collected by the federal agency, in the last five weeks, most of the cases are present in the groups of 30 to 39 years, followed by the group of 18 to 19 years and 40 to 49 years.
The 10 entities with the most cases of COVID-19 are: Mexico City, State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Tabasco, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Puebla and Sonora, which in total accumulate (64%) of all accumulated cases registered in the country.
