Santo Domingo.- Four members of the Central Committee of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) resigned from that political organization.
This is the former senator José del Castillo Saviñon, Charinee Ovalles and Luis Alberto Peláez, who resigned after they were summoned by the PLD discipline and ethical court, to be interrogated about complaints of alleged proceedings in violation of the statutory norms of the entity.
The fourth who resigned was Juana Reynoso, who left the Peledeista Central Committee for reasons that are unknown.
According to the PLD, José del Castillo Saviñon, Charinee Ovalles and Luis Alberto Peláez, “decided to make their resignation to the political organization and, consequently, the National Court of Discipline and Ethics left without effect any previous call made in this regard.”
The National Court of Discipline and Ethics of the PLD had met on Tuesday at the Reinaldo Pared Pérez National House, to learn about the complaints received against the aforementioned leaders, members of the Central Committee.

The PLD said that José del Castillo, Charinee Ovalles and Luis Alberto Peláez, were formally cited to be heard and exercise their right to defense.
Alejandrina German, president; Manuel Galván, vice president; Gustavo Guzmán, secretary and members John Garrido, Teodoro Ursino Reyes, and Luis García.
The PLD emphasized that the call to the National Court of Ethics and Discipline was made in accordance with the provisions of art. 79 and following of the Statutes of the Dominican Liberation Party and the Regulation of Ethics and Discipline in force in the case cited, to give course to complaints received about alleged actions violations of statutory provisions.
