The Brazilian Society of Pediatrics (SBP) requested, on Tuesday (12), the House of Representatives, urgency in the approval of the bill (PL) No. 2,628/2022, which establishes rules and mechanisms to prevent, identify and curb abuse and child sexual exploitation on digital platforms. The text has already passed the Senate.
The request was sent to the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta, and other parliamentarians. The document highlights as the duty of the state, society, families and companies to ensure that children and adolescents grow free from violence. “There is no more space for compliance.”
“Every day, stories of children and adolescents injured physical or emotionally, or exposed to violence due to inadequate content for their age group, demonstrate that regulation cannot expect. Each day without this protection is one more day of risk for millions of children.”
According to SBP, in 2024, the Safernet Brazil National Cyber Crime Central Central recorded at least 53,000 new allegations of images of abuse and child sexual exploitation.
“It is essential to ensure that children and adolescents are not exposed to harmful content or become the target of aggressors.”
“The picture signals serious risks in the digital environment, stimulating practices such as the culture of sexualization, nudity and child pornography, sexing, sexor, virtual rape, grooming and the criminal use of Deep Fakes for image manipulation,” said the document delivered to parliamentarians.
“It is unacceptable for technology companies to maintain virtual environments where illegal and high risk content circulates freely, without fast and effective actions for their removal. It is equally unacceptable that the privacy and safety of children and adolescents are not a maximum priority in the design and operation of these systems, and that profit overlaps with their lives and integrity, ”said the entity.

The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta, said on Monday (11) that will guide projects that combat or restrict the reach of profiles and content on social networks that promote the adultization of children and adolescents.
The theme gained repercussions after complaints from influencer Felca Bress against profiles that use children and adolescents with little clothes, dancing sensual songs or talking about sex in programs released on digital platforms.
“Felca’s video about the” adultization “of children shocked and mobilized millions of Brazilians. This is an urgent theme that touches the heart of our society. In the House, there are a number of important projects on the subject. This week, we will guide and face this discussion,” Motta said on a social network.
The influencer has exposed profiles with millions of followers on the Internet who use children and adolescents in situations considered suitable for adults only in order to increase views and raise more resources – the so -called content monetization.
