“The agreement that was signed by Pemex in front of the judge is no longer valid; therefore, we restart the procedure. We are going to make all the efforts so that this person assumes his responsibility and, through international cooperation, we will proceed against him wherever he is,” said the prosecutor during the morning press conference on Tuesday.
Alonso Ancira obtained his freedom in 2021 after signing a agreement that forced him to return $ 216 million to the treasury. The official said that “the first (payments) made them and then did not do them.”
