Coffee departments are accelerating their exports thanks to grain

In the first semester of 2025, Colombian Green Coffee Exports reached a value of US $ 2,683 million, Lor that represents a growth of 83.3% compared to US $ 1,464 million registered in the same period of the previous year.

The export activity was concentrated in regions such as Antioquia, the Coffee Axis, Valle del Cauca, Nariño and Magdalena, with Huila in the first place. This department registered sales for US $ 581.5 million, with an annual variation of 67%.

Second was Antioquia, with US $ 504.8 million and an increase of 113.4%. Then they stood Caldas, Quindío, Valle del Cauca, Risaralda, Santander, Magdalena, Cundinamarca, Nariño, Cauca, Cesar, Tolima, Atlántico and Bolívar.

The United States, Germany and Belgium led the list of international buyers during the first six months of the year. Sales to these destinations grew 81%, 140.9%and 103.1%, respectively. Other relevant markets were Canada, Japan, South Korea, China, Spain and Australia.

In the business field, The National Federation of Coffee Groups headed the group of companies with greater exportsfollowed by Olam Agro Colombia, Sucafina Colombia, Racafé, Suden Colombia, Louis Dreyfus Company Colombia, Carcafé and Condor Specialty Coffee.

Evolution of international prices

Market behavior was also influenced by the evolution of international prices. According to an ASOExport analysis, In July 2025, the price of coffee in the futures market remained stable.
