When inaugurating the National School of Higher Studies (ENES) Oaxaca Unit of the UNAM and welcoming the first generation of students, the rector Leonardo Lomelí Vanegas said that this act reaffirms the national vocation of our university and its purchase with the democratization of the co-notocation, inclusion and equitable transformation of the country.
“The creation of the ENES responds to a challenge that remains in force: expand the opportunities for younger to access public higher education of excellence,” said the rector accompanied by the first director of said academic entity, Carlos Andrés Sánchez Soto; the Superior Auditor of the Federation, David Colmenares Páramo; and the president of the Alfredo Harp Helú Oaxaca Foundation, María Isabel Grañén Porrúa.
The initial objective of ENES is to address 400 students, and progressively increase enrollment in the face -to -face modality, the open university system and distance education, and continuing education programs.
