Rafael del Pino: Filtration of accounts of Gaesa reveals “mafia state” in Cuba

Cuba, GAESA

The exiled General Rafael del Pino accuses Gaesa of operating as a private corporation in tax havens and calls the military to exercise their “sacred right of insubordination” to stop repression.

Madrid, Spain.- The General Exiled of the Cuban Air Force Rafael del Pino, the highest graduation officer of the Movement of Military Objectors of Consciousness (MOC) and co-founder of this group, said that the recent filtration of bank accounts of Gaesa-For more than 18 billion dollars– confirms the existence of a “mafia state” on the island, controlled by a kleptocratic elite linked to the Castro family.

In a titled The Cuban and Gaesa gangsterDel Pino argued that Gaesa “operates as a private corporation registered in tax havens” and that it is handled by “a corrupt elite” that has appropriated the strategic resources of the country.

As the Ideas Laboratory stands out in this regard Cuba Century 21, Del Pino denounces that the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) and the Ministry of Interior (Minint) act as “private armies to suppress the people” while the “government” headed by Miguel Díaz-Canel would be “a mere puppet of this oligarchy.”

The retired military pointed out that the filtration contradicts the official narrative that attributes internal crises to external factors such as the American embargo or climate. In his opinion, “the new oligarchy engendered around the Castro family has installed a mafia state that operates in collusion with that of Venezuela and in alliance with RussiaChina, North Korea, Iran, as well as with various groups of organized transnational crime. ”

Del Pino said that, despite the extended belief, the FAR does not directly control Gaesa. “The mantle selected to cover up the real nature of that private corporation (…) has been the FAR,” he said, remembering that discovering this reality cost his positions to the general Leopoldo cold citras.

The Cuban exiled proposed that Gaesa Be “nationalized, intervened, confiscated, audited and dissolved” and called the uniformed to exercise their “sacred right of insubordination” to stop repression against protests, as well as to form “a broad civic-military coalition that leads to a genuine democratic transition, with free elections, rule of law and economic freedoms.”

Del Pino also warned of the possibility that the leaks respond to a “fraud” plan driven by internal factions to maintain power with an opening appearance, imitating Vladimir Putin’s strategy. He recalled that the Helms-Burton law “will not recognize as valid any controlled transition in one way or another by the same oppressors who have directed the regime.”

“The agreement to normalize relations with the United States (…) does not give space to that fraudulent change,” he said, warning that leaks could reflect that “the system has collapsed and cannot remain immovable.”

“The oligarchy represents less than 1% of the population suffering. We return the weapons against them and support the people to recover their freedom and stolen wealth,” concluded Del Pino.
