He described as a “irresponsibility” that the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) has breached the transfer of economic resources to complete these important work and is now informing that the works will be resumed within three months.
Reconsiderate
“I hope that the President of the Republic (Dina Boluarte), the president of the Council of Ministers, Eduardo Arana, and the representatives of Anin reconside the decision to paralyze the work and through the MEF the resources are assigned to culminate the work in the San Carlos, Galindo and the garage in the Moche River, because the channeling is incomplete and they leave us in an uncertainty,” said the mayor.
The mayor said that this situation causes a great “uncertainty”, since if the work will really be reactivated in three months. “If so, that means that in December they would resume, but we all know that in January and February it is when it rains. The channeling of the San Carlos creek is halfway to be activated by rains puts the venom bridge at risk, the water wells that supply Laredo and the Zarumillla sector,” the mayor warned.
He asked the governor of La Libertad César Acuña and the congressmen of this region to support him so that in the shortest possible term he is convened to a technical work table. “We want the MEF to assign the resources to complete the works that began several years ago,” he said.

Other districts
For his part, the administrator of the District Municipality of Alto Trujillo, Joseph Cubas Tejada, warned that with the paralysis of the works in the ravines the population of Trujillo and other districts are put at risk.
“The paralysis of the channeling works of the San Ildefonso creek puts at risk the integrity of the population of Alto Trujillo. Together with the provincial mayor Mario Reyna we urgently demand a technical table to give an immediate exit to this problem,” proposed.
