Mention, Santiago Rodríguez. – A violent attack that occurred this Sunday in a farm in this municipality left as a balance the death of a farmer and the kidnapping of his lawyer, a fact that has dismayed the community.
The incident occurred near noon, when a group of armed men reached the property aboard a vehicle – described by witnesses like black, although other versions suggest that it could be white – and opened fire against Diomedes Sánchezowner of the farm, causing death in the spot.
After the attack, the aggressors kidnapped Luis José Rodríguez Tejadalawyer and communicator, who managed to communicate with his brother in the United States to warn him: “They attacked me and kidnapped me”. Since then, his whereabouts are unknown.

The National Police and the Public Ministry They activated a wide search and tracking operation, which includes the review of rural roads, control stalls and surrounding areas, with the aim of locating Rodríguez Tejada and finding those responsible.
The crime has generated outrage and concern in a motion, a traditionally calm and dedicated town to agricultural activities. Residents and relatives of the victims demand rapid responses, justice and strengthening security in the area.
The authorities have not offered details about the possible mobile of the incident, while investigations continue.
