An denounces new US threats against Venezuela and supports President Maduro

The National Assembly denounced on Saturday new threats from the United States government against the country and ratified its support for the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

From the Federal Legislative Palace in Caracas, the president of the AN, deputy Jorge Rodríguez, accompanied by the parliamentarians, read a statement in repudiation of the recent Injections actions by Washington.

“The National Assembly of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela denounces the new attempts of American imperialism for repeating old formulas of rude interference and useless threats to destabilize peace, tranquility and consolidation of the prosperity of the entire Venezuelan homeland,” he said.

The deputies rejected “the absurd and desperate actions announced by the United States Prosecutor’s Office, clearly illegal, and without any legal grip, beyond the attempted delusional aggression against the constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and against our rebel and brave people.”

He added that these operations are aimed again to encourage extremist groups in the country and the region to resume violence, “which has been and will be defeated, and will continue to be defeated throughout the line by our government and our people.”

“Venezuela is today the most sure country and with the economy that has grown the most in this contine national”.

He highlighted the support of the Venezuelan Parliament to the president and “expresses our absolute conviction to accompany him in the defense of our sacred homeland.”
