IFE Laboral 2022: When is it paid, what does it consist of and how to apply

The Labor IFE, It is a benefit that aims to mitigate the economic effects of the current world situation, and like other benefits provided by the government to help families and workers overcome the crisis that the pandemic brought with it, it has steps to follow that have to be fully fulfilled.

Let’s review below what are the requirements to obtain the Labor IFE according to the official information provided by the government through the page of chileattendes.

What is the Labor IFE?

The Labor IFE is an incentive for workers to be formally employed, directly granting them a monthly benefit for the employment relationship that begins (new employment contract).

What is the amount of the Labor IFE?

The amount of the subsidy corresponds to the following:

Men Come in 24 and 55 years: fifty% of his Monthly Gross Remuneration, with a cap of $200,000 monthly.
Womenyoung people between 18 and 24 years old, men over 55 years old, people with duly certified disabilities and disability pension recipients: 60% of the Monthly Gross Remuneration, with a monthly cap of $250,000.

Remember that: This benefit is compatible with the Guaranteed Minimum Income, the Protect Subsidy, the Women’s Work Bonus (BTM), the Youth Employment Subsidy (SEJ) and the temporary reduction of the working day of the Employment Protection Law.

Important:

Workers who successfully apply for the Labor IFE in February, March and April 2022, will be entitled to receive up to 3 months of payment, as long as they remain employed and comply with the conditions of the benefit.
Those who apply to the Labor IFE in May and June 2022, will have the right to receive up to 2 and 1 months of payment, respectively, as long as they maintain employment and meet the conditions of the benefit.

Those who have already received three or more months of payment from the Labor IFE will not have access to new subsidy payments for this extension, that is, workers who have already been beneficiaries of the Labor IFE until January 2022 will not have the right to receive additional payments.

Who can obtain the Labor IFE?

It is a benefit for: Workers and workers who start a new employment relationship, with an employment contract.

What are the requirements for the Labor IFE?

To access the Labor IFE, the following requirements must be met:

Have a new employment contract (in the current month or maximum in the month prior to the application).
Have a gross monthly remuneration less than or equal to 3 Minimum Monthly Income ($1,050,000).
Having been unemployed for the entire month prior to the start of the new employment contract. For this, Sence will check that you do not register pension and/or health contributions for any employer the month prior to the start of your new contract.

Some examples of the type of formal employment contract: indefinite, fixed-term, for a specific job or task, seasonal or part-time.

Important:

Being “unemployed” means that the person who applies for the benefit must not have been working, with an employment contract, in the month prior to the application to the Labor IFE.
A “new employment relationship” is understood to mean any dependent and subordinate employment relationship between a male or female worker and a new employer that is formalized by means of an employment contract.
To verify the above, Sence will review at the time of application:

That the applicant does not register social security contributions in the month prior to the start of the employment contract.
That the applicant does not register social security contributions in the three months prior to the start of the employment contract with the same employer for which he or she is applying for the benefit (same employer).

Restrictions to access the benefit:

People who are working informally or independently.
People who provide services to the State, dependently and independently.
People who are enjoying medical leave (includes pre and postnatal).

What is needed to complete the procedure?

Have Unique Key.
Have a formal employment contract that began in the month that corresponds to the application or the immediately preceding one. For example: for the application in November, the contracts may have started between October 1 and November 30, 2021. It can be in JPG, JPEG, GIF, DOC, DOCX, PDF, EPUB or PNG format.

Once on the Sence website, click on “login”.
Write your RUN and PasswordUnique, and click “continue”. If you don’t have it, ask for it.
Click on “apply”.
Fill in the required information, attach the employment contract, accept the declaration and terms, and click on “submit application”.
As a result of the process, you will have applied to the Labor IFE. You will have a response to your request through the email indicated in the application, once compliance with the requirements and general conditions has been confirmed.
