Lima, Peru – Police Forces and the Interior Ministry of the Cuban regime arrested the two alleged main authors of a millionaire robbery to the Lancervi wholesale mipyme, located in areas of the Chambelón, city of Sancti Spíritus.
Lieutenant Colonel Rolando Rodríguez Carmenate, head of the Provincial Criminal Investigation Body, informed the state newspaper Escambray That the theft occurred in the early hours of July 11, when individuals took advantage of the lack of surveillance and the absence of electric fluid to penetrate the premises through the ceiling.
The thieves climbed to the top of the ceiling and created an opening in one of the zinc tiles to enter the premises. One of them had previously worked at the MSME, so he knew his interior and the location of the money.
After the initial investigation in The crime scenethe authorities arrested the two main authors from information received from the population that included anonymous complaints.
The two accused already have a criminal record and negative social behavior. Both confessed their participation in the robbery and involved two other citizens, also detained.
According to Rodríguez Carmenate, one of those involved transferred the money stolen in a cart from the immediate vicinity of the place to his home, while the other acted as an intermediary in the acquisition of means of transport used during the investigation. “Both received high sums of money as a reward,” says the report.
The authorities occupied several goods acquired with the stolen money, including two modern combustion engines, 125cc and 200cc respectively, valued in more than one million pesos each; two electric engine; five high -end cell phones; various clothing; a cart; and to date, a total of 2,500,000 pesos in cash recovered.
During the investigative process several subhuellas were obtained in the place of the facts, which positively coincided with the samples taken to the accused.
Currently the detainees are in the Provincial Criminal Investigation Unit, processed by the crime of theft with force and with a precautionary measure of provisional imprisonment imposed by the Prosecutor’s Office.
