This Saturday, 480 members of the National Promoting Committee were sworn in that will promote the formation of the 4,775 ecosocialist councils in the indigenous communities of Venezuela.
Through his official Instagram account, the Minister for Ecosocialism, Ricardo Molina, indicated that “this promoter team will be deployed in each of the indigenous communities of Venezuela, and will transmit their wisdom to relate to the Pachamama, within the framework of the great mission Mother Earth Venezuela, created by President Nicolás Maduro.
Within the framework of the International Day of Indigenous Peoples, an activity led by the Minister for Indigenous Peoples, Clara Vidal, where the representatives of the original peoples, assumed the task with courage and for the defense of the rights of Mother Earth, as reviewed by a press release of the MINEC.
During his participation in the event, Minister Molina said he was happy to “see how this promoter team is installed to go to each of the indigenous communities of the country that will be our strength, because they will transmit their wisdom we will learn to relate to Mother Earth.”
He stressed that with the inclusion of indigenous communities to the Great Mission Mother Earth Venezuela, it enriches itself with their wisdom and ancestral knowledge, “without you it cannot be done, we appreciate your willingness to join this great mission and the willingness to teach us to do our work better.”
The minister explained to the indigenous peoples the 7 vertices of the Great Mission Mother Tierra Venezuela, devised by President Nicolás Maduro, such as: organization and training for life, sowing for life, territory for life, climate for life, wildlife fauna, sanitation for life and production for life.
Finally, Molina highlighted, from the ecosocialist vision, that human needs must be met, but with deep respect for nature and this is the task of the 44 peoples and the 4775 indigenous communities existing in Venezuela, “developing better ways to link to nature and without damage to it, our indigenous communities have much to teach us, for example in how to live in harmony.”
