After the White House reported that a delegation from his country held talks with the Government of Venezuela to discuss the supply of hydrocarbons, President Nicolás Maduro announced the reactivation of talks with the opposition in Mexico.
“The dialogue in Mexico received a tremendous blow, but if we are asking for dialogue for the world, we have to set an example in the country. So let’s format the dialogue in the countrya more inclusive one,” Maduro assured in a presidential address.
Likewise, the president described positive and cordial diplomatic meeting between the US official, in which Maduro’s wife, Cilia Flores, and the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, participated.

For the moment, no details have been given on when talks with the opposition could resume. However, A joint statement from the opposition caucus against these announcements made by Maduro is not yet known.
