Since July 25, more than four thousand residents of Querecotillo, Marcavelica and Salitral suffer a severe disabled drinking water, a situation that has evidenced serious deficiencies in the service. During the inspection, the technical team toured the conduction line from the Potable Water treatment plant (PTAP) Sullana and found an alarming pressure drop: 85 psi to just 10 psi.
The evaluation revealed that the escape that maintains without water to the recovery is due to the deterioration of the pipes, while in Marcavelica, Salitral and in the same Recotillo the lack of cleaning was detected in the supply line.
