The corporation of the aqueduct and sewerage of Santo Domingo (Caasd) Invest 225.8 million pesos in five projects aimed at improving the service of water potable and optimize systems sanitary drainage, which will benefit more than 67,000 residents of this municipality, according to its director, Felipe Suberví.
During a project supervision, Suberví explained that these are long -awaited initiatives by residents who do not receive water With the required regularity. The benefited sectors include The battalionThe hills, The tamarindLos Rosales, Urbanization Italy, El Rosal and Villa Liberation.
The first supervised project was the one that is executed in The battalion And the hills, where they are being placed 2,575 linear meters of pipes and 100 household connections, with an investment of 11,505,705.47 pesos. This intervention will impact the lives of about 1,000 people.
Works in execution

As part of the tour, the director of the Caasd also inspected the project in the Urbanization Italy and El Rosalwhich contemplates the placement of 1,235 linear meters of pipes and 100 household connections, with an investment of 30,257,787.77 pesos. This network will be connected to a 48 -inch matrix line and it is estimated that it will benefit 21,496 inhabitants.
Suberví also inspected the progress of the work in Villa Liberationwhere they are installed 6,760 meters of pipes and 1,333 home connections. This intervention, with an investment of 47,831,226.74 pesos, will improve the distribution of water Drinking for about 6,000 people in the sector.
The route concluded with the supervision of the rehabilitation of the wastewater treatment plant of Villa Liberation. This infrastructure will have the capacity to treat 3,400 cubic meters daily and will benefit more than 6,000 people from Villa Liberation and The tamarind.
