President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said on Friday (8), in Porto Velho (RO), that Jair Bolsonaro is having a presumption of innocence and the right to defend himself, which he did not have when he was arrested in 2018. Bolsonaro is under house arrest Since last Monday (4), by determination of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF). 
“He is having what I did not have, he is having a presumption of innocence. He is having the right to defend himself. And he knows that he is guilty, because he tried to kill Lula, Alckmin and Alexandre de Moraes. Be a man and answer for what you did, don’t whining,” said Lula.
He criticized the amnesty request made by Bolsonaro and opposition parliamentarians.
“They are so cowardly that they are asking amnesty before they are judged, because, in fact, you ask amnesty after you are condemned. He was not even judged.
By announcing an investment package from the federal government to Rondônia, Lula said he will not allow Jair Bolsonaro’s return to the presidency of the country.
“While I’m alive, this ‘junk’ that ruled this country will no longer return to rule this country,” he said, saying he will continue to walk around the country to announce works and investments from the federal government.
Lula again criticized US President Donald Trump for the taxation in 50% of Brazilian products, noting that the judiciary in Brazil has autonomy.
“He needs to learn to respect others, which sovereignty is a sacred right of each nation. Is the world in need of more jobs, more peace, more harmony to do that?” He asked.
Land regularization
Lula signed, together with the Minister of Agrarian Development and Family Farming (MDA), Paulo Teixeira, the granting of 120 titles of rural properties for family farmers in 23 municipalities of the state. A decree of renegotiation of titles was also signed in the Legal Amazon.
The president signed 71 contracts from the National Land Credit Program, which enable access to land through funding with conditions subsidized to family farmers. The total amount of contracts is R $ 13.5 million.
During the event, BNDES and the Ministry of Environment also announced the approval of R $ 55.4 million from the Amazon Fund for projects in Rondônia. The resources will be destined to the structuring of productive chains linked to bioeconomics, based on the environmental adequacy of family farming properties.

During the event, President Lula and the Minister of Transport, Renan Filho, signed the order of service to implement the Binational Bridge on the Mamoré River, which will connect Guajará-Mirim (RO) to Guayaramerín (Bolivia). The work, provided for in the new PAC, will be 1.22 km long, 17.3 meters wide and estimated cost of R $ 421 million. The forecast is that the construction will take 36 months and directly benefit over 180,000 people in the border region, strengthening the South American integration.
Present at the event, Bolivia’s president, Luis Arce, said the construction of the bridge is a dream and a symbol of integration that will strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
The Federal University of Rondônia (Unir), the Brazilian Hospital Services Company (Ebserh) and the Porto Velho City Hall signed a technical cooperation agreement for the implementation of the first university hospital in Rondônia. The document provides for the eviction, renovation and donation of the building by the Porto Velho City Hall to Unir.
The federal government also signs this Friday the 8th stage of the Light for All Program in Rondônia, with an investment of R $ 173.9 million. The new stage will benefit 5,779 families in rural and remote areas.
