The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta, sent to the Corregedoria of the House the requests for removal, for up to six months, of 14 opposition deputies who participated in the riot in the National Congress and a deputy accused of aggression.
The measures need to be voted by the House Ethics Council.
The oppositionists are, mostly, of the Liberal Party (PL), caption of former President Jair Bolsonaro, and the new, and participated in the occupation of the Board of Directors of the House, obstructing the resumption of legislative work. PT deputy is accused of assaulting Deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG).
The deputies cited are:
- Marcos Pollon (PL-MS);
- Zé Thunder (PL-SC);
- Julia Zanatta (PL-SC);
- Marcel Van Hattem (Novo-RS);
- Paulo Bilynskyj (PL-SP);
- Cavalcante Sosthenes (PL-RJ);
- Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG);
- ZUCCO (PL-RS);
- Allan Garcês (PL-TO);
- Caroline de Toni (PL-SC);
- Marco Feliciano (PL-SP);
- Bia Kicis (PL-DF);
- Domingos Sávio (PL-MG);
- Carlos Jordy (PL-RJ); and
- Camila Jara (PT-MS).
The decision was made by the Board of Directors of the Chamber after a meeting on Friday afternoon (8).
“The table of the Chamber of Deputies gathered this Friday, August 8, to deal with the conduct practiced by several federal deputies on the 5th and 6th. In order to allow the proper calculation of the event, it was decided for the immediate referral of all complaints to the Parliamentary Corregedoria for the proper analysis,” said the General Secretariat of the House.
After passing by the Corregedoria, where the images will be analyzed, the processes will return to the Board of Directors and then go to the Ethics Council.
Accusations and defenses
This morning, the PT leader in the House, Lindbergh Farias (RJ), presented to the Board of Directors a letter requesting the opening of disciplinary proceedings and the precautionary suspension of five pocket parliamentarians. Camila Jara’s suspension was requested by opposition deputies.
Last to get up from the chair of the chamber of the House, Pollon is accused of preventing the resumption of work and cursing Motta days earlier. In a post on social networks, Pollon claims to be “autistic” and not understand what was going on, sitting momentarily in Motta’s chair to ask Van Hattem, which was next door.
Zé Trovão, according to the PT, the PSB and PSOL, is accused of trying to physically prevent Motta’s return to the board of directors.
Zanatta is accused of wearing her four -month -old daughter as a “shield”, as well as putting the baby in a risk and tension environment.
Bilynskyj is accused of “taking a robbery and kidnapping” the board of directors of the plenary and occupying the table of the Human Rights Commission, preventing the chairman of the committee from performing his duties. The craft also cited the aggression to journalist Guga Noblat, caught by cameras.
Zé Trovão, Zanatta and Bilynskyj had not spoken on the networks about Motta’s decision so far.
At the session of Thursday (7), Zé Trovão said he did not encourage violence, only tried to prevent the removal of parliamentarians by force. In a previous post, the parliamentarian said left parliamentarians “hate women and motherhood.”
Van Hattem is accused of assaulting and “kidnaps” the chair of the presidency. Van Hattem posted an excerpt from the national anthem. In a previous video, he said that a possible suspension of the PT’s mandate would be a blow.
The other PL parliamentarians were included in an individual representation of Deputy João Daniel (PT-SE).
Regarding Camila Jara, the parliamentarian is accused of pushing Nikolas Ferreira during a discussion to resume control of the House Plenary.
The deputy’s advisory denies any aggression and claims to have had a “push” in which the parliamentarian dismissed Nikolas, which would have been unbalanced
