The São Paulo Civil Police arrested 355 perpetrators of crimes against women in the state of São Paulo, the State Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP) said. 
The action, held on Thursday (7), was part of Operation Shamar, to combat violence against women, and was coordinated by the Directorate of Integrated Operations and Intelligence (Diopi), the National Secretariat of Public Security (Senasp), the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), and had the adhesion of 26 states and the Federal District.
Thousand arrest warrants
According to SSP-SP, the operation should comply with more than a thousand arrest warrants against authors of domestic, family and sexual violence, occurring simultaneously in all regions of the state.
2,200 civil police officers involving Women’s Defense Police (DDM), specialized units and police districts across the state, including the support of the Military Police.
