The 13 -year -old adolescent, of Haitian nationality, who was hit by a ray while bathing in the rain with two other children, who unfortunately lost their lives in Managuayabo, is stable, on his second day of admission to the Intensive Care Unit of the Robert Reid Cabral Hospital.
Mabel Jones, director of the Medical Center, informed the newspaper today that The electric shock affected the right hemicuro of the minor.
“On physical examination, the patient is stable, oriented in time and space. Yesterday he showed a slight increase in blood pressure with the presence of mild Oliguria, so adequate medication was installed to handle this symptomatology, the patient finding himself today in stable conditions,” said Jones.
Currently, the child remains oriented and an analytical is expected to decide if it can be transferred from intensive care to an observation room.

The fact
The natural accident occurred while three children, including the two fatalities, played in the rain without imagining the danger that stalked them.
According to witnesses, the minors enjoyed the downpour, as they used to do it, in a field of play or “play” of the sector, when a ray suddenly fell on them, causing an instant death to two of them.
“I was standing in the window of my house and I saw when that immense ray went down. It hit three children, where there was one retired. One fell dead dead … and the other died in my hands,” Gregory Peralta, a resident of the area, who witnessed the event, said.
The remains of one of the victims, identified as Yelian de los Santos, 13, were veiled on the afternoon of the same Saturday in the Christian Circle Church, located in the community.
Of Los Santos was described by his mother, Luz García, as an applied, humble and affectionate child. Between tears, he said that with the loss of his little boy he also left a piece of the soul.
