As a key node for Santiago National and International Connectivitythis remodeling represents a decisive step to boost the economic, tourist and social development of the entire eastern region of the country, authorities said.
As reported by the transport minister, Eduardo Rodríguez Dávilathe project includes a Total reconfiguration of its salons with a new distribution by levels.
On the ground floor will be the halls of national and international arrivals, now with independent flows that will allow to expedite migratory and luggage delivery processes.
The upper floor will be destined exclusively to the departure hall, accessible by mechanical stairs and elevators, which will guarantee a totally inclusive infrastructure for people with reduced mobility.
Among the planned improvements are the installation of New luggage mats, modern immigration control cabins and the update of the air conditioning systemwith the purpose of offering a more efficient and comfortable experience to passengers, airlines and visitors in general.
The execution schedule, planned for the 2026 and 2027It was designed so that airport operations are not interrupted.
