The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, urged the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, to the review of the Organic Law of the Federal Government Council, in order to include the participation of the communes and communal circuits of the country.
This was announced during the Federal Government Council (CFG) 2025-2029 that was attended by the governors, governors, mayors and mayors in the Miraflores Palace.
“The Federal Government Council has an increasingly important and decisive presence of the leadership of popular power (…) I have asked to be reviewed, Dr. Jorge Rodríguez, the Federal Government Council Law to include with significant weight the Communes and Community Circuits, given the rhythm that has acquired the processes of popular consultation,” instructed the head of state.
Regarding the realization of the CFG, he stressed that its installation responds to the completion of the constitutional cycle of its authorities nationwide, regional and municipal, “it is a powerful message that Venezuela is on the path of institutionality, respect, tolerance and inclusive democracy.”
In another area, he congratulated the ministers of Popular Power for Public Works, Jorge Márquez; Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), as well as citizen security bodies due to deployment in response to communities affected by intense rainfall.
“Attending to people, the first thing is the contingency plan: saving lives, which has worked quite well. Then, the stage of attention and achieve mitigation, release water until it dries (…) I congratulate in a very special way to civil protection because they are the first to arrive and the last to leave,” he said.
This meeting is of great importance in the planning of national works and projects, since it articulates the popular forces with the four levels of government and is also linked to the Plan of the Homeland of the Seven Transformations (7T), which delineate the course that the country must adopt for its integral recovery, says Presidential Press.
