When heading the closing ceremony of the session, the president of the Second Chamber warned that, after the reform of the Judiciary, the rooms specialized in issues of high legal complexity will disappear, in compliance with the new constitutional guidelines and functions that will govern this power of the Union.
On the edge of crying, Laynez said that in the period of existence of the second room, who formed the internal organ managed to solve issues that impacted the lives of many people.
“Here we discussed, resolved and solved issues that impacted the lives of many citizens, from 2011 that came to break the paradigm of the defense of fundamental rights and the protection of minorities and vulnerable groups,” he said.
Before concluding his speech and declaring the final closure to the Second Sala, Javier Laynez took the opportunity to recognize the ministers and ministers who were part of their history, as well as the workers, secretaries and advisors of the organ.
Some of the relevant cases of the second room were:
- Access to social programs for people with disabilities in 2020.
- Access to controlled medications for a patient with insomnia and stress problems in 2020.
- Access to inclusive education for the son of a military who suffered from Asperger in 2020.
- The resolution on cannabis therapeutic use, Cannabidiol (CBD), Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in minors in 2019.
- The resolution for the creation of a “Sonora River” trust due to the chemical spill on the Sonora River and Bacanuchi for the repair of the damage in 2019.
