A similar trend is identified in the rest of the region. For example, in Chile, 90%of talents say that today it is more difficult to become independent, in Panama 85%, in Argentina 85%, and in Ecuador 81%.
On the other hand, with regard to their dynamics of coexistence, 56% of workers in Peru mention that they still live in the family home, 24% live alone, 19% live with their partner, and 1% live with friends or colleagues.
Complex dynamics
Melisa Fürst, regional marketing leader of Bumeran.com.pe in Jobint, said the results demonstrate a complex situation that is lived in Peru, because they also reveal that 23% of workers had to return to the family home after having become independent.
Of that group, he pointed out that 16% returned because they lost their job. Similar percentage returned because their salary is not enough, while 9% said that their family needed them, and a similar figure revealed that costs increased and could not face the expenses.
