The Military Justice Audit acquitted on Tuesday (5), for 4 votes to 1, Sergeant Rafael Chaves Oliveira and cables Rodrigo Correia Frias and Marcos Felipe da Silva Salviano, accused of defrauding the site of the murder of Kathlen Romeuin the Lins Complex, in the North Zone, in June 2021.
The 24 -year -old was pregnant when she was shot in the chest and died. She had just left her grandmother’s house, whom she had gone to visit. The military were accused of false witness and procedural fraud.
The audit is made up of a judge and four superior military personnel of the Military Police.
The prosecution had already requested the acquittal for lack of evidence by Captain Jeanderson Corrêa Sodré, commander of the Pacifying Police Unit of Lins (UPP Lins) and Corporal Claudio da Silva Scanfela.
Four police officers were acquitted for the crime of false testimony and all were acquitted of the accusation of raising the rifle capsules of the scene. The defenses claimed that the MP arguments were generic and supported in assumptions.
The Public Prosecution Service said it will appeal the decision of the Military Justice audit. “The trial in the second instance is in the Court of Justice, without the participation of military. This trial was only for procedural fraud. The murder is already running in the Court of Justice,” explained the prosecutor.

Understand the case
On June 8, 2021, 24 -year -old interior model and interior design died after being hit in the chest by a rifle shot. Kathlen was 14 weeks pregnant and, when she was hit, and was going to visit her maternal grandmother, who lived in the Lins Complex community.
According to the prosecutor’s accusation, the shots would have left military police Rodrigo Correia de Frias and Marcos Felipe da Silva Salviano, who would have entered the community shooting towards a group of criminals.
