The remains of the PNP NCOs José Gabriel Munive Gurmendi were buried today in the cemetery of Santa Rosa de Chorrillos, the ceremony was attended by Minister Carlos Malaver together with the general commander of the PNP, Víctor Zanabria. Munive Gurmendi was killed by criminals who was shot in the district of La Victoria in Lima, when the agent with his partner Harry Alison of Carpio Valdez, frustrated an assault on a truck loaded with groceries.
Munive Gurmendi obtained a posthumous ascent to the degree of third technical non -commissioner, according to the Directive Resolution No. 7754, in recognition of its delivery, value and sacrifice for the security of the population.
Without vests
However, in RPP, the mother of the Natural Police of Chupaca, Neryda Gurmendi, denounced that her son had to buy her own bulletproof vest to fulfill her police work.
“They have not given his vest, he himself acquired his vest,” he said. He also said that reality is the same for their other children who are also police.
