Not having adequate segregation of biocontaminated waste, punches, special and common. Not having the respective management documents for the proper handling of hazardous solid waste is what DIRESA Junín found, in the inspection, yesterday to the veterinary center of the Municipality of Huancayo.
The professionals of the Executive Directorate of Environmental Health Junín issued formal observations through an act of health surveillance, which must be attended and corrected within a maximum period of 10 days, in accordance with current regulations.
This inspection is part of the “General Law of Solid Waste”, which establishes that regional governments are responsible for supervising, controlling and sanctioning the management of hazardous waste in their respective jurisdictions, through their regional health directions.
In accordance with the scope of the Technical Health Standard No. 144-MINSA/2018/DIGESA, these provisions reach all public and private health establishments, including veterinary centers, as they are solid waste generators during health care.
This work seeks to ensure that the veterinary center provides quality attention to pets and operates under the best conditions.
