Following the arrest of four subjects allegedly involved in the subtraction of strategic material belonging to PDVSA facilities, the Scientific Police deepens the investigations to identify the “brains ” of the aforementioned illicit business.
The detainees are Julio César Palao Salazar (39), José Gregorio Gil Natera (39), Alexander Rafael García (44) and Leomar José Gómez Carrera (47). These people were arrested by Cicpc agents between Tigre and Cantaura (Anzoátegui). They are pointed out to enter the electrical substations of PDVSA “to subtract copper of the generators,” says the Cicpc in his report hanging on Instagram.
But behind these four men there is allegedly a PDVSA military official who has several testaferros responsible for cleaning and safeguarding money from the sale of the strategic material subtracted from settled facilities settled, not only in Anzoátegui, but in Zulia and Guárico.
To preserve the control of that business, the official charges vaccine to entrepreneurs dedicated to the recycling of strategic material, according to testimonies. The vaccine is not necessarily in dollars, it also requires real estate, boats or vehicles.
The abduction of strategic material belonging to PDVSA is not the only criminal activity of the aforementioned criminal group but also dedicate themselves to take off complete electric layers to sell them in Villa de Cura (Aragua), according to data collected. Such action is the origin (partly) of the blackouts in populations of Anzoátegui, Guárico and Zulia.
Representatives of that mafia operate within Petro Guárico, whose facilities are in Easter Valley (Guárico), where allegedly civil and military personnel enter at night hours to remove pipes that are transported in Gandolas, which circulate along Guárico’s roads with false invoices, according to testimonies. Those involved usually move in high -end vehicles.
