The Federal Government will launch a program to welcome repatriad Brazilians in a situation of vulnerability.
Named “Here is Brazil”, the initiative is from the Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship (MDHC) and will offer psychosocial care and health care. The launch will take place on Wednesday (6)in ceremony in Brasilia.
The Minister of Human Rights, Macaé Evaristo, said, in a social network, that the initiative aims to bring “dignity and citizenship of” repatriades, “with job opportunities, decent housing, health and other guarantees that only one CPF provides”.
In addition to the portfolio, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs are participating in the program; development, social assistance and hunger fighting; Justice and public safety, and health.
This Monday (4), a flight that would bring US repatriad Brazilians was canceled. According to MDHC, a new date is under negotiation, but there are no flights scheduled for this week.
Since February, Brazil has received more than 1,200 repatriads in operations organized by the federal governmentfocusing on the safe return of vulnerable Brazilians abroad, especially from the United States.
