The businessman Paulo Skaf was elected on Monday (4) president of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP).
Skaf’s new term, which has already chaired the 2004 to 2021 entity, will be four years from 2026 to 2029. The businessman ran into a single plate and received 99% of the valid votes.
“Fiesp will work to build business diplomacy that can defend the entire production chain with Brazil’s historic business partners, as well as to work on new markets to further strengthen the industry,” said Skaf.
The businessman will succeed Josué Gomes da Silva, whose mandate ends on December 31, 2025.
FIESP is the largest class entity in Brazilian industry and represents about 130,000 industries from various sectors.
