According to the organizers of the protest, Pacific marches and demonstrations of all miners and other sectors linked to unemployment will be made from 7 in the morning.

The guild committee announced that it will carry out the total closure of the double road BTS PAIPO-TUNJA, in the Cemetery roundabout sector, and that only the passage of ambulances and urgent medical missions will be allowed.

The protest seeks to demand measures that guarantee the stability of the sector and its workersgiven the restrictive government policies for this productive line of the country.

Last Friday, the Mayor’s Office of Paipa conducted a security council with mining representatives to seek solutions and agree rules of the game before the cessation of activities scheduled for this Monday. However, an agreement was not reached and the call continues.

For this Tuesday, August 5, a new meeting is scheduled, which expected the presence of ministers or vice ministers of several portfolios and the National Mining Agency, among other government and social actors.
