The Foreign Ministry reported on Monday that 82 Argentines, together with 26 of their relatives of other nationalities, managed to leave Ukraine to different countries in the region based on the permanent coordination between the Argentine diplomatic representations in the area and thanks to the collaboration of local immigration authorities.
This was reported by the San Martín Palace through a statement, in which it stated that, this Monday, “82 Argentines have been able to leave Ukraine for different countries”, while “26 foreign relatives of these compatriots were also able to leave the country”, mostly children or Ukrainian wives and husbands of the Argentines who lived there.
At the beginning of the conflict, the Foreign Ministry had reported that there were about twenty Argentines temporarily in Ukraine, and 83 permanently settled in that country.
“Since last Saturday there are no longer Argentines who were temporarily in Ukraine during the beginning of the invasion”revealed from the headquarters of local diplomacy.
In this sense, they added that the number of Argentines who were able to leave Ukraine was confirmed thanks to “the direct contacts in the conflict zone that are permanently maintained by both the Argentine Embassy accredited to Ukraine and the Argentine Foreign Ministry.”
In addition, the Foreign Ministry recalled that lto Argentina sent a White Helmets mission to the region of the war to collaborate in humanitarian assistanceinstalling a Mobile Consulate made up of consular staff, and specialized volunteers, who are already working on the border with Poland.
Its task is to assist Latin Americans arriving from Ukraine with the aim of facilitating document processing, providing psychological support and facilitating logistical means for their passage across the border.
Guidance is also provided for their subsequent displacement to the destination to which they are directed, a task that is carried out in a coordinated manner through cooperation mechanisms in the expanded consular network that make up the representations of Latin American countries.

Finally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated to the Argentines who are in Ukrainian territory “that it is essential to know where they are in order to assist them in the best way, for which they are asked to keep a channel of communication open both with the Embassy, through the usual channels, such as with the box provided by the Foreign Ministry for this purpose: [email protected]”.
