Who is Omar Reyes Colmenares
Omar Reyes Colmenares has legal training and operational experience in the security and justice system. His career has been linked to the Attorney General of Mexico City. In 2020 he was appointed as director of the General Headquarters of the Investigation Police.
In 2022 he was appointed undersecretary of the Penitentiary System of Mexico City. This designation occurred during the management of Omar García Harfuch as head of the capital police. From that position he held meetings with authorities of the Institute of Social Reintegration to coordinate actions that would improve the living conditions of people deprived of liberty and those who obtained their liberation.
