Sandtmo Domingo.- The president of the PEOPLE FORCE (FP), Leonel Fernándezhe described how “overflowing” the participation of the leaders in the internal elections held this Sunday, ensuring that the level of Mobilization reflects solidity and growth of political organization.
In his words, the day has been so dynamic that he resembles national elections.
“This is something unprecedented, not only here in the capital, but throughout the country. Today it seems a general election, and it is only our party. In 2028, the force of the people will be invincible, ”he said after exercising his right to vote.
Leonel Fernández He stressed that never before a political party in the Dominican Republic He had achieved a participation in this magnitude in the election of its internal authorities, and described it as an example of organization, discipline and territorial leadership.
In addition, he stressed that this process constitutes just a First stage within the structural reorganization of the party.
“After this day, we will make the election of the president of the party, the vice president, the secretary general and the members of the political leadership,” he said.
Voting are developed within the framework of the First Electoral Congress “Dr. Manolo Tavárez Justo”in strict compliance with Law 33-18 of political parties, guaranteeing principles such as legality, representation and gender equity.
In this first phase they will be chosen 610 members of the central management (183 nationwide and 427 territorial), in addition to 74 Territorial presidencieswith the participation of 75,746 leaders previously audited, distributed in 62 centers and 145 electoral tables throughout the country.
Fernández voted in the Center for Excellence Republic of Colombiain constituency 3 of the National District, and then moved to Santo Domingo Norte to closely follow the development of the process.
