Santo Domingo.-The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) announced this Saturday that it deployed several operations in which they were arrested 997 Haitians They were irregularly in the country, while another 1,045 were deported to their country of origin.

Migration management, which was supported by state security institutions, was carried out in the Great Santo Domingo, where 210 undocumented were captured; In Santiago de los Caballeros 51, La Vega 123, Mao/Santiago Rodríguez 33, Azua 9, East 9, Puerto Plata 5, Montecristi 78, Dajabón 94, Elías Piña 85, Jimaní 16 and Pedernales 27.

On the other hand, the deported Haitians were delivered to the immigration authorities of their country through the border control points of Dajabón (321 people), Elías Piña (562), Jimaní (106) and Pedernales (56).

Migration warned that he will continue to comply with the president’s guidelines Luis Abinader and the mandate of the Nation Defense and Security Council, to preserve a safe migratory environment.
