The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, and the governor of Guanajuato, Libya Dennise García, confirmed that the Mexico-Guadalajara interurban train will have a stopover in León and Irapuato.
Through a video broadcast on the social networks of the state president, the head of the Federal Executive confirms:
“Good news, I want to tell you that the train we are building from Mexico City to Guadalajara will go through León, Guanajuato, well, Irapuato and León, Guanajuato. That is great news, and the truth is owed to the governor who was there very pending to be so.”
In this regard, Libya Denisse thanked the support for the project, since it was not contemplated that the project passed through the capital of the footwear industry.
The Mexico-Guadalajara interurban train is part of a broader program of passenger trains promoted by the federal government, which contemplates its development in four phases, of which the first is already in execution in this 2025.
