A total of six thousand 958 people throughout the Venezuelan territory attended the National Council for the Development of Afro -descendant Communities of Venezuela (CONADECAFRO) in the first half of this year. The president of this organization, Marizabel Blanco, participated in the program Free access 3.0 from Radio Miraflores, where he held a conversation with Luis Alberto Gómez and Walter Hernández.
Blanco said that this organization, attached to the Ministry of Popular Power of the Presidency’s Office, above the local communities of the country, in person and through its social networks, with a formative vision about respect for Afro -descendant culture. At this time, Conadecafro reached 144 communities, with access to Afro-descendant men and women, public policies with ethnic-racial approach and the impulse of a process of cultural transformation that helps eradicate racial stereotypes and guarantee full and inclusive citizenship.
A total of 1,74 territorial activities and more than 113 training activities counts this organization, which in community workshops had 273 training spaces, with three thousand 562 participants. In this semester, Conadecafro promoted 203 socio -productive initiatives in fourteen states of the country, and also supports five territorial cumbes, nine educational and eight new ones were recorded.
They also made 123 tributes to outstanding Afro -descendant people, as well as 32 recognitions to educators and visible 69 community cultors. Conadecafro participated in this period in four international activities: the Fourth International Forum of the United Nations, six solidarity meetings with Haiti, the commemoration of the twentieth anniversary of the Decree of the day of Afro -Venezuelanity and follow -up meeting in Havana.
