The departmental legislature, in plenary meeting on Thursday, July 31, addressed several issues of utmost importance.
During the previous half an hour, several mayor made the floor making various proposals.
Anthony Cuello mentioned a concern of IFD students in relation to the creation of the University of Education.
Mónica Peña made a report of reports to the Intendencia (separate note) on the instrumentation of the hot dish service.
Ignacio Rodríguez referred to issues related to traffic.
Pablo Castro requested a solution for the Rio Branco Technical School to expand its facilities, based on an approach that Luis Tarrech had done in the previous period.
José Luis Silvera highlighted the agreement reached between the National Government and the Congress of Mayors on Resources for Departmental Governments.
Maximiliano Abraham recalled the initiative to build an inclusive space in Rivera Park. He asked the Mayor Morel to include a project prepared by the Youth Office during the management of Professor Fernando Coronel.
Finally, Rafael Rodríguez explained about the need to improve the system of exemptions of the payment of rural real estate contribution to family producers.

Several trades entered the plenary to which the corresponding passage to commissions was made or made.
Unanimously, resignations of mayor were voted, including that of the leader of list 16 of the National Party and former mayor of Cerro Largo, Fernando Gamarra.
Request from the mayor
The mayor Álvaro Segredo requested that the Departmental Board solve to the Court of Accounts for its report for a draft decree on the use of credit lines that was sent to the legislative body by the Intendencia de Cerro Largo.
This point was voted unanimously.
