Ñáñez: Social networks are for the combat of peoples

The sectorial vice president of Communication and Culture, Freddy Ñáñez, said that today communicational hegemony has changed, not only in communicational, but in its strategy to impose itself and “build a homogeneous state of opinion and emotionality in which the world (…) is in a new battlefield where we must update our communicational struggle and propose alternatives,” he says portal of VTV.

During the multiplatform program “ground cable”, he said that one of the great challenges that exist today are social networks: “They are technologically designed to depolitize life and to politicize the word”, where algorithms operate with a new censorship that goes beyond silence and imposing a single story, if not the opposite algorithm that does not work ».

He highlighted the need for the creation of a strategy so that we can politicize and reporate the spaces “from the streets to the networks themselves and understand that you can only be on social networks from combat (…) to build their own truth from the villages.”

The Minister for Communication and Information exalted that those who believe that the social network is a space where intimate life is only released, is a false ideal. “It is a space where the enemy’s ammunition becomes” and is constituted as a hostile area before the cognitive war of today. “Who enters a social network is in a battlefield for his own mind and all the ways of emotional manipulation.”

Ñáñez pointed out that Venezuela is always on the side of the struggles of the peoples: “We are in the same ship that has the same common destination, which is to build a world without hegemony or imperialism.”
