The inflation In Metropolitan Lima, 0.23% rose in July, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI). With this result, it accumulated an advance of 1.69% between August 2024 and July 2025, that is, it remains within the target range of the Central Reserve Bank (BCR).
In the seventh month of the year, the sector with the highest incidence was that of non -alcoholic food and drinks with an increase of 0.53%. This result was a consequence of the increases in fish and seafood prices. The Bonito, for example, grew 26.3%.
Some fruits were also recorded, including the Israel block (13.5%), the melon (13%), the current apple (11.7%), the watermelon (11.2%), the grenadilla (11%), the tuna (9.4%) and the papaya (9.1%).
Different was the Eviscerated chicken panorama whose price dropped 6%, as well as pepper pepper (-7.5%), green pea (-6.1%), chicken eggs (-3.3%), packaged oats (-5.6%), blonde sugar (-1.4%), among others.
On the other hand, prices in the transport sector increased by 0.48%, highlighting in this case the increase in the cost of the national air passage (7.9%) and international (6.3%). The interprovincial bus also uploaded at 15.4%.
Another item that also had an incidence in July was that of restaurants and hotels. Prices in this sector increased by 0.15%, due to slight increases in sanguches and tamales (0.3%), Creole and regional dishes (0.2%), and soda (0.7%). The accommodation service increased 1%.
As for the accommodation, water, electricity, gas and other fuels sector, it was the only one that registered drop in its prices with 0.20%, explained by the decrease in home fuels.
