Forced confinement of communities also experienced a worrying increase. During the first five months of the year, near 85,760 people were confined in at least 13 departments of the countrywhich represents an increase of 169% compared to the same period of 2024. Departments such as Chocó and Antioquia lead the list.

In Chocó alone, more than 19,706 people remained confinedwhile Antioquia reported 2,198 cases of confinement.

Mass displacement also recorded a serious panorama. Between January and May, more than 58,160 people were displaced in at least ten departments. Chocó reported more than 1,311 displaced people, and Antioquia, 809.
