The decision was due to breaches of the Secretariat of Anti -Corruption and Good Governance, which assumed part of the functions of the former National Institute for Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI).
According to the directors, the agency does not allow the INE to specify their new functions because it still does not deliver all electronic files related to their new powers or has given access to operate the PNT.
This interoperability with political forces, migration and facilities still do not materialize, but – according to what is approved by the INE – it is expected to be possible before September.
According to the constitutional reform, which entered into force since last March 21, the INE will be the guarantor body that access to the public information of the political parties is fulfilled: they must monitor that they fulfill their obligations in the matter and resolve the revision resources that arise.
In addition, through the Internal Control Body (OIC) of the INE, it will highlight to fulfill its transparency obligations and create another instance to resolve on the protection of personal data.
As of June 1, the new organizational structure approved by the INE Executive Secretariat, which redesigned the Technical Units of Personal Data (UTT), as well as that of the electoral contentious (UTCE), to give them the new functionalities, entered into force.
In the INE session, on July 28, the directors acknowledged to be missing and that had an impossibility of complying with the delays of the Anti -Corruption Secretariat, so they approved the new term, an agreement that is not yet made public.
