María Corina Machado called for the solidarity of all Venezuelans with the Apure communities that have been incommunicado due to the rains and the flood of rivers.
In a publication on social networks, the founder of the Vente Venezuela organization warned about the seriousness of the situation in the llanera region. “Imagine what is happening: at this time, the transport of food, gas and fuel is being taken along the Cabruta road, Bolívar state, so that from there you enter the Amazon state and pass in Gabarra through the Orinoco, to finally reach San Fernando de Apure,” he wrote this July 31.
Machado pointed out that there are communities, populated and hamlets that are completely “flooded” where families have lost everything and have been evacuated to schools and sports courts.
«Once again it is time to show all our solidarity and generosity with those who suffer the most; our prayers and forces with our beloved people of Apure; You know they are not alone. God bless you.

All my strength and solidarity to the Apureños who have been incommunicado product of the torrential rains and the floods of the rivers in the last hours. This is how the situation is now:

According to an official balance offered by Governor Wilmer Rodríguez, on July 16, more than 53,000 people have been affected and at least 7,334 homes are flooded, which has left thousands of families in a situation of vulnerability.
The municipalities most beaten by floods are Muñoz and Pedro Camejo. In Bruzual, capital of the Muñoz municipality, the El Muerte bridge collapsed, which has further hindered land access to the area. The governor said that he is already working on the installation of a war bridge sent by the Executive.
